While his party is demanding a ban on Sanatan Sanstha, Nitesh Rane, the MLA from Kankavli assembly constituency, has simple solution and that is 'bullet for bullet and threat for threat'.

Nitesh, son of former chief minister Narayan Rane, on Thursday night met Sripal Sabnis, the president of the ensuing All India Marathi literary meet which is to be held at Pimpri-Chinchwad next week.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Rane said that if Sanatan Sanstha lawyer is using the language of threat, they should be retaliated in the same manner.

When asked whether he would demand a ban on Sanatan Sanstha, Rane said that there is no point in demanding such ban as government would not ban it. He said instead, there should be a fear instilled in the minds of people from Sanatan Sanstha so that they do not go on threatening people like Sabnis.

It was Sabnis, who had made remarks after prime minister Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Pakistan, last month, to greet Pakistan president Nawaz Sharif on his birthday. Sabnis had said that if anything untoward would have happened, he would have been required to pay his condolences for the prime minister. Rane told that Sabnis had said nothing wrong and added that while the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis is holding the home portfolio, the law and order in the state has deteriorated in addition to providing organisations like Sanatan Sanstha an adequate room carry on their agenda.

Stating that the security of the Bollywood stars, including Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan have been reduced, Nitesh Rane questioned, 'whether the government wants all these celebrities to follow the suit of Late Narendra Dabholkar and Comrade Govind Pansare?' He said that if Sripal Sabnis has received threats and advice of starting morning walks, he would accompany Sabnis on a morning walk on daily basis to see whether those who have threatened him have guts to attack him.
