Two Railway Protection Force constables, VS Tayade and Manoj Prasad, managed to save the life of a passenger after he fell while trying to board a moving train. The incident happened at Parel station's platform number 3 at around 8:50am on Wednesday.

" When a fast local slowed down at parel PF 3, a passenger named Vinod Laxman Chandanshive, aged 30, tried to board the train in motion. Since he was carrying a packet of dosa and chutney with him for his children, the packet tore and chutney got spilled on the platform. Chandanshive slipped on the chutney, fell and was getting pulled into the gap," said a senior RPF officer. Chandanshive is a resident of Dobivali east.
