Aspiring to go out of India for studies but don’t how to go about it? dna, in a one-of-its-kind initiative, is organising a global seminar that can well answer most of your questions.
A Global Education Seminar — a series of free-entry workshops at different colleges in the city — will be organised November 26 onwards.
It will help aspirants with the admission and application process, scholarships and bursaries, popular and new courses, and work experience, which has become a crucial requirement for a person wanting to go abroad for further studies.
The seminar will cover destinations such as the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and Singapore. Harvard alumna and dna’s in-house overseas education counsellor Alisha Mashruwala will conduct the seminar. Representatives of IMS, an institute that coaches students in competitive exams, such as GRE, TOEFL, and SAT among others, will give guidance on how to prepare for the tests.
The seminar will also have officials from the Bank of India, who will provide information on education loans and overseas insurance. To answer queries on visa process, dna has invited visa officers from the US and Canada.
