State minister for primary, higher and technical education as well as medical education and culture, Vinod Tawade, on Sunday said the reason for him opting for the said prtfolio was to ensure a corruption-free human resource.

While addressing a press conference, Tawade remained evasive on whether he wasn't keen to have the home portfolio. He pointed out that it is on the lines of union government that sports and education along with culture have been given to him so that his department would work like a human resource development at the center.

Of his campaign claims of getting Ajit Pawar arrested after coming to power and that he intended to have the home department, Tawade said that the government would do its job of acting against corruption and that he would continue his work, through his department, of creating a corruption-free human resource.

Tawade said that the present allocation of portfolios would remain unchanged and the Shiv Sena could be given a few portfolios like sanitation and water supply. He said that the cabinet expansion would take place only after the confidence vote on November 12, 2014 and it would be done before the winter session of the state assembly in Nagpur is scheduled to be held December.
