Uttar Pradesh girl, gang-raped, rescued by Government Railway Police

A 16-year-old girl was found sitting aimlessly at Goregaon station by the Government Railway Police, who found out that she had been gang-raped and brought from Uttar Pradesh to be sold into the flesh trade.

The girl told the police she hails from Kalwar and that she was kidnapped by some youth from her house. They took her to Lucknow, where they raped her. They brought her to Mumbai with the intention of forcing her into prostitution.

A couple of days ago, she managed to slip away from them and had been travelling up and down the suburban line not knowing how to return home. The Borivli GRP have registered a case and have informed the family of the girl.
