Farzana Contractor's food expo The UpperCrust Food & Wine Show returns to town for the 13th year running, which goes to show, for one, that it's now an integral part of Mumbai's food calendar and a successful one as well.

To be held this weekend, starting Friday, this year's show will feature 150 exhibitors displaying thousands of branded food items from all across the world. Plus there will be food courts and a live kitchen with the city's most sought after chefs displaying their culinary skills and sharing their secrets, and dishes from a variety of cuisines. This year, there will be masterclasses by chef Kshitiz Shekhar, chef Ruben Santos, chef Rakhee Vaswani and chef Jaydeep Mukherjee, among many others.

But perhaps the most exciting aspect of it will be a food courtyard for foodies to snack and sip the goodies in the lawns of the World Trade Centre which will run from morning to night on all three days, with music and lo and behold – a wine shack, for some yummilicious wines from India to Italy!

Farzana's quite kicked about Day 2 of the exhibition featuring a live concert of songs from Sonali and Roopkumar Rathod and daughter Reewa, who will perform their popular numbers for attendees on the lawns of the Centre at 6pm. That sure marries music with food and wine!

A source informed that among the guests expected to visit the exhibition are regulars such as Neerja Birla, Dipti Salgaocar Smita Thackeray, Dilip and Shalini Piramal, Rouble Nagi, Shailendra Singh (of Sunburn fame), Naaz and Remu Jhaveri, Maheka Mirpuri, Vardha Nadiadwala and actresses Perizaad Zorabian and Sonnalli Seygall. Director/choregrapher Farah Khan is set to inaugurate the exhibition on Friday at 11 am starting which the festivities begin.

The Upper Crust Food and Wine show will be held from December 4th to 6th at the World Trade Centre arcade from 10 am to 8 pm.
