The Ulhasnagar police will issue a lookout notice against an NRI for forging documents to usurp property of a deceased Delhi resident. The NRI has a similar case of forgery registered against him in Mumbai as well.

On July 6, Ulhasnagar police registered a case against Rajeshkumar Kundomal for trying to forge the documents of a deceased Delhi resident who owns a trust. The Delhi resident Babasaheb Kumar runs Garibdas Trust in Delhi and passed away in 2016. “Kumar did not have a heir. After his death, Kundomal allegedly applied to Ulhasnagar corporator Govind Aidke for a change of name on his pan card,” says investigating officer API Santosh Mane, Ulhasnagar police station.

Kundomal, through his representative, sought Aidke’s no objection certificate (NOC) to change his name to Babasaheb Kumar from Kundomal. “The matter was brought to the notice of the corporator by the complainant, who has already filed a case against Kundomal in Mumbai as well,” says Mane.

The complainant Vijay kumar Hegde, 57, is from Borivali and had lodged a case against Kundomal in Mumbai in 2016. “In that case also, Kundomal is said to have forged the papers to show himself as a domicile resident of Maharashtra and brought properties under his forged name,” says Mane.
