Rabiya Khan, the mother of late Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, who was found dead in her apartment two years ago, visited India to pay homage to her daughter. Rabiya, who is constantly following up with those probing Jiah's case, says she has faith in the Indian investigating agencies, who will 'deliver justice' to her child. Khan also claimed that even the American government is continuously inquiring about the case, since Jiah was a US citizen.

This correspondent spoke to Rabiya, who claimed that she was aware about the case status. "I am aware of the fact the CBI had recently seized some incriminating documents from the house of the accused. I came across the fact after going through media reports. However, I am not aware what kind of evidence they have seized," she said.

When asked if she was satisfied with the progress of the investigation, she said that while the investigation is 'undoubtedly a bit slow', she is sure the investigating agencies will 'serve justice' to Jiah.

Rabiya drew parallels between the US probing agency, and its Indian counterpart, saying: "One needs to remember the fact that even if the case was handled by the Forensic Bureau of Investigation (FBI), they would not have shared their findings with me. So, similarly, the CBI is not sharing its investigations with me."

Rabiya further claimed that she has been keeping the US government in the loop about the case. "Jiah was a US citizen, and the government is always concerned about its citizens. Thus, time and again, I used to pass on the stages of investigation to government authorities," said Rabiya.

On June 3, 2013, Jiah was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her apartment in Juhu. Actor Aditya's Pancholi's son Sooraj was arrested after being booked under IPC Section 306 for abetting Jiah's suicide, a week after her body was found.

Sooraj was held on the basis of the note purportedly left behind by Jiah, which indicated she was heartbroken because of his 'womanising ways' and 'growing distance' between them.

Jiah had made a high-profile debut in 2007 opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd.
