Shraddha Warpe, 22, a resident of Kalyan and her friend Meena Varunkar, a resident of Vikhroli had left their residence dressed in attire for the Navratri celebrations

Shraddha Warpe had dressed for the last day of Navratri celebrations and was with her colleague from the Maharashtra Labour Board. Both worked for the same government agency and had got down from the train at Parel on Friday morning.
Warpe, 22, a resident of Kalyan and her friend Meena Varunkar, a resident of Vikhroli had left their residence dressed in attire for the Navratri celebrations.
Warpe was a resident of Ramnagar in Kalyan East and resided with her parents. The colleagues of both the victims rushed in large numbers and demanded action against the railway authorities for being negligent and irresponsible to handle the situation.
A senior representative of the Maharashtra Labour Board, said, "Both young women were innocent and they have lost their lives due to the negligence." The family members from Kalyan and Vikhroli arrived at the hospital and said, "We are in shock, many family members have not been informed about the death and have just informed them that they are injured in the incident."
