An Andheri-based man who allegedly created a fake Twitter account of Sachin Tendulkar's daughter, Sara, 21, and sent objectionable tweets concerning NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, was arrested on Tuesday night.

The arrested accused, Nitin Sisode, 39, is a resident of Military Road in Andheri (East).

According to the Cyber Crime police, the complainant in the case is Tendulkar's private secretary who has been working with him for the past 20 years.

On October 9, 2017, the accused allegedly impersonated Sara Tendulkar by creating the account @SaraSachin_rt, the police said.

The suspect used Sara's photograph as the profile picture and posted objectionable comments, giving the impression that the comments came fromm Sara Tendulkar.

One of the comments said, "Everyone knows that Sharad Pawar NCP looted Maharashtra State but little known that he tried Centre too".

A case was registered with the police after which a probe was initiated and one of the IP addresses was traced to Sisode.

"We are investigating why he created the fake account. Some of the login/logout IP addresses were from outside India and this has to be probed. It has to come to light that Sisode has created profiles of important people on social networking sites," said the officer.

"The police have seized a laptop, two mobile phones, a router, an external hard disk, a pen drive, a SIM card and a DVD from my client," said advocate Ajay Umapati Dubey, who represented Sisode in the court.
