Netizens hailed Ajmal Kasab’s execution at Yerawada Central Prison in Pune on Wednesday as they made pages and communities on social networking site Facebook and put up tweets expressing joy on microblogging portal Twitter.

“I finally heard the good news for which I have been waiting since the last four years in the morning. 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab hanged to death, cheers to all Indians,” posted Sibi Varghese on Facebook.

Internet users commented that the execution has brought justice to the victims of the terror attack on the city. Milind Deshpande, a Facebook user posted, “Finally, justice is delivered for all who lost their lives in the attacks.”

Even though it is late, Kasab has finally been hanged.” Another user Akshaye Rathi tweeted, “Some would have wanted him to be hanged in public. The secretive way in which it was done is right.”
