Truck mows down 16-year-old in Vasai

A 16-year-old boy was mowed down by a truck carrying musical equipment for Ganesh visarjan in Papdi village of Vasai on Wednesday night.

According to police, Rishabh Dildar Pawar, 16, a junior college student, died after a truck playing loud music took a reverse turn without noticing the teenager and crushed his head.

The victim’s family members and residents of Papdi village blocked the street. They alleged that the death was due to the negligence of a policeman who instructed the driver of the truck to take a reverse.
