The Mumbai Crime Branch, probing the cash for transfer racket of IAS and IPS officers in Maharashtra, went to Delhi to collect more evidence against the earlier arrested accused. Sources said a team went to Delhi to conduct searches at the residence and the office of Ravindrasingh Yadav, who would pose as a central government officer to dupe bureaucrats.

The police have verified the claims made by Yadav with senior officers in Delhi, whose visiting cards were in possession of Yadav. "Our probe is on; however, the racket does not seem to have been able to influence the postings but it was instrumental in duping officers," said Sanjay Saxena, Joint Commissioner (crime)
