Three women, two minors rescued from flesh trade

According to the police, a woman was running the business, along with the help of another woman and both have been arrested. The business was on from the past few months at Panchamrut Apartment in Lokmanya Nagar.

Five women have been rescued from flesh trade who were forced to work. The anti-human trafficking cell received a tip-off and they laid a raid.

According to the police, a woman was running the business, along with the help of another woman and both have been arrested. The business was on from the past few months at Panchamrut Apartment in Lokmanya Nagar.

The raid was conducted on September 28 in afternoon hours where the unit caught the two woman red-handed and rescued five girls. The cops also recovered hard cash. The cops said the main accused would deal with the girls and the customers. Later, she used to give Rs1,000 to Sangeeta as a rent of her room and then send the customer to her room.

The main accused have been in this business for the past many years, while the other accused have joined her recently.

A case has been filed with the Vartak Nagar police station under section 370 of the Indian Penal Code, several sections of the Prevention Of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and other relevant sections.

S Shakil, senior police inspector from the cell, said, "We have rescued five women, of which two are minors. The accused women are in their 30s and are behind bars, further probe is on."
