Three more resident doctors from KEM Hospital have tested positive for dengue. According to sources, Dr Ajinkya Desale, the resident doctor with KEM's orthopedic department tested positive for dengue on Monday, after which his relatives decided to shift him to a private hospital.

The other two doctors are told to be stable and under medication. So far, 10 resident doctors have contracted dengue, of which Dr Shruti Khobragade died on October 26.

19 undergraduate doctors in KEM Hospital also were treated for dengue in the last one-and-a-half months. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited KEM Hospital on Saturday evening along with municipal commissioner Sitaram Kunte and met dengue patients admitted there.

The MARD representatives have been regularly meeting with the dean as the administration has intensified its efforts to check for breeding spots and clear debris/scraps that can be possible breeding spots. "The points mentioned in the letter have been taken into account. Scraps have been cleared and leakages have been mended," said the doctor.
