Three mobile phone stealers held in Dahisar

The MHB Colony police have arrested three men for robbing people of their cellphones in Dahisar West. Two more accused are on the run. After robbing the victims, the gang would sell the stolen phones at a friend’s shop after changing the IMEI numbers. 

The arrested accused, Vinod Gupta, Dipak Shikhare and Ramsevak Gupta, are all aged between 19 and 20 years.

The gang would roam around Dahisar railway station skywalk in search of people to rob. They were accompanied by two other minor boys.

Suresh Kilje, senior PI of MHB Colony police said, “The minor boys would stand at a distance and identify targets.”

The gang would then threaten the victims with a blade and snatch away their cellphones after attacking them.
