Three held for Rs14 lakh Kalbadevi robbery

The city crime branch sleuths have arrested three persons who were involved in an armed robbery at Kalbadevi earlier this month. The accused persons had committed a robbery of over Rs14 lakh.

According to the police, on February 13, a few persons had barged into the office of LK Agency at Kalbadevi. Once inside the office, they threatened the staff with pistols and knives. They tied the staff and assaulted them before decamping with Rs14.20 lakh in cash.

A case in this regard was registered with the LT Marg police station by the affected party.

The Anti-Robbery and Dacoity Squad of the city police was also working on the case. The squad during its investigation learnt that those involved in the case were hiding in Bengaluru.

A police team then formed and sent to the southern city. The team apprehended the suspects and brought them to Mumbai.

The police then interrogated the three suspects. "Interrogation from the suspects revealed that they were tipped off about the cash by one of the employees working in the office," said a crime branch officer.
