The 16th edition of the mega annual theatre fest, Thespo, started with a bang, leaving the audience spellbound. The fest has much to offer to theatrewallas and art lovers—from plays, fringe performances, musical performances, workshops and more. Prithvi, the suburban queen, where all the tamasha takes place, plays host to Thespo.
On the foyer, Drashtaa India left the audience mesmerised while performing a one-woman monologue while at the café, renowned flautist Suhas Joshi was working his magic in all earnestness. Parichay Mehta, who was at the Prithvi Café, shares, "Suhas Joshi was playing his flute, sitting so casually among the people that it was almost surreal. His music was soulful—straight from the heart."
The star-studded fest has been attracting celebrities and prominent theatre personalities like Dolly Thakore, Makrand Deshpande, Rajkumar Rao among many others, who graciously showed their support towards the budding talent. Rajkumar Rao, who enjoyed the play Normal, remarked , "My friend Shashi Bhushan produced the play and I was here to support him as we come from the same film institute. I really liked the play; all the characters and actors were quite impressive and the overall experience was great."
