Exhibiting paintings by artist Jayshree Savani, Walkeshwar's Art Desh art gallery turned into an art lover's paradise
Last weekend, the Art Desh art gallery in Walkeshwar inaugurated the exhibit Reverberance by artist Jayshree Savani. A collection of abstract paintings, the exhibit exuded a sublime quality that expressed the artist's thoughts.
Savani's paintings celebrate mankind's inner joy and the inherent emotion of love, with the use of bright colours. The artist strongly believes in the theory of the universe being a hologram, where every action and emotion causes reverberance. She further elaborates that reverberance is a sound from deep within—a collective echo from the soul, since all souls are connected.
When asked how she aligns her art and thoughts with spirituality, Savani says, "Connectivity, nature and people are together, one organism. Each individual is a universe in themselves and the expression through art connects us with our higher self."
About choosing abstract art over other forms of art, she elaborates, "Everything is a perception. Each individual has a different opinion. Through abstract art, I want to expand one's consciousness instead of limiting people's perspective about form."
Apart from drawing inspiration from the expressions of folk dance and having represented Gujarati folk dance at the state level, Savani is also a leadership trainer and heads an awareness module for young children. Multi-faceted and without any formal training in art, she thanks her gurus and mentors for enhancing her life with the essence of art.
Talking about her process of creating art, she says, "It's a challenging process. My work ranges from art of an impromptu nature to others that take more than a month to complete, where what comes next in the scheme of the painting is crucial to the basic idea." But the artist is not complaining. She happily states, "I cherish my family as it is in their space that I am growing." Her artwork surely reverberated through the quaint gallery with its ambient lighting and whitproblem.
