Residents of Kandivli’s Thakur Village will inaugurate their street friendly initiative ‘Street Konnect’ on Sunday, January 8. Two years ago, a group of like-minded people came together to start Street Konnect with the aim of bringing residents together and to develop a friendly bond. The initiative aims to provide a platform to budding talent — artists, entrepreneurs and innovators.

“The objective of the initiative is to make residents interact with each other and to promote new talent. We are happy to see that the residents of Thakur Village come together and build a stronger community. People living in and around Kandivli, Borivli area visit to see the street festival which is majorly funded by the residents staying in Thakur Village,” said one of the organising members of Street Konnect.

The fest will be held at 120 ft Road in Thakur Village, starting from Buddha circle to Nirvana Restaurant. Besides the main stage, the six-hour fest will be divided into five zones focusing on different activities. “This year we have also added ‘pet zone’ for the first time,” added the spokesperson.
