Thane Belapur Industries Association (TBIA) in association with the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Maharashtra government, will be restarting ‘Continuous Workers Education Programme’.
The aim of this programme is to impart the knowledge on safety, health and environment to the workers working in the small and medium industries, where there are no training facility available.
TBIA had meetings with Dish and decided to start this programme.
Industries in the area have come forward to provide their facilities and expertise to conduct the programme.
The programme will be conducted in a batch of 25-30 participants from the member industries located in TTC area.
The course includes imparting training on accident – cost, causes, accident prevention, personnel protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of hazardous chemical and material, safety data sheet, emergency management.
The first programme was conducted on August 27 at 2pm at M/S Godfrey Phillips, Rabale, Navi Mumbai.
CP Paseband, jt director, Dish, Thane and, officials of TBIA will be attending the first session.
