TADA court directs Thane commissioner of police to probe Abu Salem train ‘marriage’

The special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (Tada) court judge Govind Sanap, on Tuesday, directed the Thane commissioner of police (CP) to investigate the news report that said underworld goon Abu Salem had married a Mumbra-based woman while being taken to Lucknow in a train.

According to the news report, the marriage took place when the police were escorting Salem to Lucknow. When dna spoke to Salem, he said it was a rumour. His lawyer Saba Qureshi said, “The court was shocked to hear the news and has asked the Thane CP to investigate its veracity.”
