Hoping to get away with friends and family for a lovely weekend brunch? Or at least aiming to recreate the feeling of getting away by brunching to the backdrop of a scenic view? We've scanned nooks and crannies of South Mumbai to come up with our list of perfect Sunday brunches. Surprisingly, very few eateries offer brunches that have no view or an excellent view where brunch is not an option. So sit back and read through our compilation of the best places to hang at for a memorable Sunday affair.

The Taj is definitely a place to be considered for brunching in South Mumbai. While many would have tried Masala Craft and Zodiac Grill, Souk is a gem that must be explored on a leisurely Sunday.
Perched on the rooftop of the Tower wing, Souk serves up a plethora of cuisines ranging from the Moroccan, Lebanese, Greek, Turkish, Iranian and Egyptian. "We have a great spread for brunch and there is an entire section dedicated to desserts, which is very popular," says the service personnel, voice dripping with pride. The tantalising flavours and fragrances find an appropriate backdrop in the Gateway of India harbour with little boats bobbing over the water. Other SoBo landmarks such as The Rajabai Tower, the original Victoria Terminus (now Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus) structure, the Yatch Club and the BSE building also stand guard as you dine in style. So, no matter where you grab a seat at Souk, you can be assured of a wonderful view to complement the meal.

The newest entrant on the Chowpatty Marine Drive culinary scene, Asian Street Kitchen is an eatery situated on the main road. Offering a view of the horizon beyond the beach, the only disturbance could be the cars whizzing by on a Sunday afternoon. Having opened its doors just eight months ago, the look and feel of the restaurant speaks of comfort, where you can be at home in a pair of flip-flops or even your Sunday best.
Housed in the heart of the Jain community of diamond merchants, the restaurant serves only vegetarian food and non-alcoholic beverages. And yet, it makes up for that with its interesting specialities. Watch out for the tangy guava juice, Tom Kha Soup, Som Tam Salad and Sizzling Cottage Cheese. "We can also plan something special if we have young guests with us for a meal," says Sanjay Chaudhury, Restaurant Manager, Asian Street Kitchen.
If you have kids in your entourage, worry not. The table tops have activity sheets, which will have them occupied until the orders arrive. The restaurant does not accept reservations on weekends. You may want to get there early to grab the coveted outdoor seats to enjoy the weather. The bummer, however, is that valet parking is not available during lunch, so you may left to fend for yourself on the parking front.

The view from the Dome, InterContinental, is something many of us would have enjoyed at least a few times over the years, and yet one can't get enough of it. To add to this breathtaking view, the Dome has now launched live stations at their open-air brunch—apparently a first. Balanced perfectly in the centre of Marine Drive, the Dome gives you a beautiful symmetrical view of the Queen's Necklace with a sprinkling of high-rises, giving it the perfect brick-and-waterThe last word
