Subodh Kumar to inaugurate dna's property development expo

Former municipal commissioner of Mumbai, Subodh Kumar, will inaugurate the sixth edition of dna's property redevelopment conference-cum-exhibition to be held at Palai Jyoti Banquet Hall, Kohinoor City Mall, opposite Don Bosco Institute, Vidyavihar, at 10am on Saturday. He will also deliver the keynote speech on "Redevelopment - Opportunities and Challenges" and take part in a panel discussion on "Reasons for delay in redevelopment and solutions to be submitted to the government". The conference will be held on Saturday and Sunday (April 12 and 13).

From reasons for the delay in redevelopment to the latest policy changes, the event will offer visitors the A to Z information about property redevelopment. The conference will aim to facilitate the process of transition from an old dilapidated building to a new, stable, redeveloped structure.

The key topics to be discussed include documentation to be followed in case of redevelopment, FSI, TDR, fungible FSI, important provisions of the development control rules, landmark judgments and effects of Supreme Court judgments on redevelopment and features of the Maharashtra Housing Act, 2012.

Visitors can also gain insights from other eminent speakers on the importance of conveyance and deemed conveyance, latest changes in the Maharashtra Co-operative Society Act, role of the structural engineer and Income Tax and Service Tax applicable on housing society redevelopment. Entry is free and registration will be done on the spot.

The speakers on Saturday will include Boman Irani (CMD of Rustomjee), advocates Parimal Shroff and Vinod Sampat, Mukesh Patel (Knowledge worker - Neelkant Group), Architects Nikhil Dikshit, Arvind Nandapurkar and Mukund Godbole, Ramesh Prabhu (chairman - MSWA), and Rajkumar Adukia (chairman of committee on cooperative societies of ICAI).
