Youths are no more interested in pubbing and clubbing at New Year. Well, it seems so considering the way some of them are preparing to greet the New Year.

Students from different institutions has come together and formed an organisation called RISE. They are not busy in deciding the venue for clubbing, but planning to make their concert a success. RISE has 50 active members from different institutions like RA Podar, SK Somaiya, SIES, Jai Hind colleges. In a joint effort with New Hope Foundation, RISE has organised a musical concert 'Prayaas' on January 10 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse through which they are aiming to raise Rs20 lakh to donate to orphans and the differently-abled children.

Nukul Jain, an RA Podar student, said, "We have no time to party this year. RISE has decided to raise some funds for orphans and the differently-abled in the city."

While these youths are busy organising the musical concert, a few others are busy organising an event for children living under the bridges to celebrate the New Year.

Prince Tiwari has formed an NGO — Teresa The Ocean Of Humanity Foundation. It has decided to prepare food for the children living under a bridge in Kandivli for the celebrations.

Tiwari, said: "Me and my four friends have decided to visit the place at Kandivli where we teach 24 children under the bridge. We will be cooking food and sweet for them. We may get help from another organisation which is yet to decide what they want to do for the children on New Year."
