Hundreds of students who applied for a review of their scores for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2018 were disappointed on Tuesday to see no change in their scores.

This year, for the first time, the Council of Architecture (CoA), which conducts NATA had allowed students to seek review of their scores after several students complained of scoring lower than their expectation. Students suspected an error in the evaluation process.

Several students had thus applied for a review of scores, but were disappointed as they merely got a photocopy of their answer sheets with no change in the scores. "We had paid Rs 700 for a review, and we were expecting some respite. Almost everyone seems to have got the same scores, thus raising concerns over the quality of review," said Madan Patil, a city-based parent.

Parents said that with the review process not yielding any concrete result, students have to suffer as they would lose out on good colleges due to poor scores. "If hundreds of students are raising the issue, there might be some merit in it," said a parent.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), which conducts admissions to architecture courses in the state, extended the deadline for verification of documents up to 5pm on June 22. In several centres across the city, students were unable to verify their documents on Wednesday, which was earlier the last day due to huge rush and server issues.
