Students get their SSC marksheet

Students from across the state, who had appeared for their Std X SSC board exams this year, on Thursday collected hard copy of their marksheet from their respective schools.

The distribution of photocopies of answer sheets among students was also started on Thursday. Till date, only 2,513 applications have come from students for photocopies.

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education officials said students can submit application for revaluation from tomorrow (Friday) once they get their photocopy. Application for revaluation has to be made within five days of receiving the marksheet.

The deadline of filling the option form for selection of junior colleges has also been extended by the education department till 4pm on Friday.

According to board officials, this year, the number of applications for photocopy of HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) answer sheets is less (10,935) as compared to last year when it was 14,500. The number of applications for revaluation and the number of applications for recounting by HSC students is 391 and 6,165, respectively.

Chairman of Mumbai divisional board Laxmikant Pandey said, "All students were given their marksheet in their respective schools; everything went smoothly today. While the number of applications for photocopy of answer sheets from HSC students was less this year as compared to 2013, applications for the same from SSC students have started coming in now. This application can be made within 20 days from the date results were declared."
