A senior citizen was found with a serious leg injury on the busy street of SV Road in Bandra by street photographer Firoze Shakir. Upon enquiring about the man's whereabouts, it was learnt that his two NRI sons based in USA had allegedly abandoned him and he was forced to beg for his survival.

Aziz Shamshudin Khan was allegedly abandoned by his two sons and Khan was forced to live on the streets. His wife lives in Mumbra area of Thane District. Shakir saw the man crying for help and when no one came forward, Shakir contacted the police and also shot a short interview of Khan and posted it on social media which then went viral.

"Khan was crying for help for the past one week but nobody came forward to help him. The SV Road of Bandra is the busiest road and yet no one noticed the poor man. When I enquired with him, we learnt that his two sons are in USA and he himself had been to US for work," said Shakir.

"We contacted the local police and also informed the medical aid helpline for his assistance. The motive behind posting the video was to locate his sons. This video also shows that people have become so selfish that they failed to notice the poor man's condition," said Shakir.

Shakir had posted a video of Khomdram Gambhir Singh, 66, a Manipuri resident and the video went viral and Singh was reunited with the family after 40 years.

"We have admitted the senior citizen at the government hospital for treatment. We are trying to trace the family members of Khan," said a senior Bandra police officer.
