Following a student wing's complaint over several colleges running integrated courses without state permission, the state education department on Monday issued notice to parents warning them to not enroll their wards in 'such' colleges.

"Parents and students are requested not to take admission in so called integrated junior college in Mumbai region. If they take admission in such colleges, the department won't be responsible for any problem occurring in future, read the notice flashed on the website.

Recently, Shiv Sena's youth wing Yuva Sena had claimed to have conducted a sting of all such colleges running without permission in the city. "The integrated coaching is a big scam where several parents are cheated by colleges and class owners. Strict action should be taken against such institutes" said Sainath Durge, Yuva Sena core team member.

In July 2016, Maharashtra Coaching Owners Association had filed a writ petition in HC against increasing integrated coaching institutes.
