SSC paper leak: One more arrested

The accused, identified as Mohammed Navid Momin Ansari (27) was arrested by Bhiwandi city police on Saturday.

The police have one more arrest in connection with the leak of Secondary School Certificate exam question papers. The accused, identified as Mohammed Navid Momin Ansari (27) was arrested by Bhiwandi city police on Saturday.

So far, four suspects have been arrested in the case. One being Amber Afroz Ansari, a vice principal of Kakatiya High school at Bhiwandi and chief conductor of SSC board exam in his school, the others are Intekhab Nishad Patel, a private tutor and coaching class owner Shaikh Wazir Hafiz Rehman.

According to police, Navid used to work with Wazir who is the owner of Careers coaching classes and is suspected to be the main culprit in the paper leak. Navid who was arrested on Sunday by Bhiwandi city police was produced in Bhiwandi court and will be in remand till 29 March.

One of the Bhiwandi city police officials said, "We think these Wazir and Navid have distributed papers to students after getting it from Amber Afroz Ansari."

A complainant Govind Sharma, founder of Samvad Foundation from Bhiwandi, brought to the notice of Mumbai divisional board and Bhiwandi police about the leaking of papers. Taking quick action, board officials filed the FIRs. Sharma alleged that even Maths papers were leaked in Bhiwandi.
