After Aamir Khan lauded the Jalyukta Shivaar Abhiyaan launched by the state government, Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday lauded the Make in India campaign.

The praise came during the launch of a coffee-table book on the Make in India Week held in Mumbai; the book has been compiled by BJP spokesperson Shaina NC. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis released the book "Movers & Makkers" during the function that was attended by minister for industries Subhash Desai, minister of state for industries Praveen Pote-Patil, industrialists Adi Godrej and Rajshree Birla, and secretaries Apoorva Chandra and Bhushan Gagrani, besides Khan and Shaina NC.

Underlining the importance of Make in India in attracting investment for the country, Khan said the technology and IT sectors would play a big role and would have an impact on the coming generations.

Fadnavis said that after such a big event there is always the need for a comprehensive but precise documentation of the same and that has been done by Shaina NC. He added that this coffee-table book would be useful for the state to attract new investors.

The CM also said that India has the demographic advantage coupled with a strong and vibrant democracy. He said the population of over a billion has its own domestic demands and this also provides India the opportunity to become a global manufacturing hub if the available young population can be converted into human resource.
