This initiative gave lesser privileged children a chance to ride on swanky Harley Davidson bikes
There are many ways to make children smile, especially the ones who are deprived of a normal childhood. To bring out the smiles on the faces of such children, a very unique event was organised at Bandra Kurla Complex.
Rustomjee Developers, in line with its child-centric ideology, associated with Members of Harley Owners Group (HOG) to conduct a special ride for lesser privileged children. The Harley Davidson bike ride was flagged off from Rustomjee's Oriana at Bandra Kurla Complex. It included 40 HOG members giving a ride to 18 kids of the Shree Sadguru Seva Mandir Trust, on their brilliant machines. The ride lasted for half an hour, with the bikers strutting their prized possessions across Bandra.
On this occasion, Manish S., Trustee, Shree Sadguru Seva Mandir Trust, shared, "When we stepped out of the bus, the children were happily shocked on seeing the superb Harley bikes. They were left in awe after the bike ride."
The atmosphere was electrifying as the children were thoroughly thrilled with the experience. After the ride, the youngest kid, Shreyas Manekar, who seemed to go gaga over the bikes couldn't contain his happiness. He said, "It was a superb experience and when I grow up, I would love to ride this kind of bike too."
Tushar Kulkarni, 13, expressed, "It was so unbelievable…I just wanted to go for a longer ride but I am happy that at least they gave us this opportunity. I am really glad that the bikers and the organisers were kind enough to give us this unusual chance."
It was an unusual ride for HOG members too, who seemed to be equally elated. The energetic kids posed for photographs with the members and their bikes, and pretended to be the riders by donning the helmet, gloves and jacket. Little sparks of excitement could be seen in their eyes, proving that the entire initiative was a success.
