South Mumbai minor stalked and molested, 1 held

A 14-year-old South Mumbai resident was molested in broad daylight for over a week before the harassment came to light. Azad Maidan police has arrested a 19-year-old, a pavement dweller, for stalking and molesting the class 9 student. The victim complained to her parents on Tuesday afternoon when the accused threatened her with a knife.

“On Tuesday the accused and one other grabbed her hand and showed her a knife. She managed to free herself and ran back to her parents. When she and her parents reached the spot they only managed to find the main accused. Onlookers beat up the accused while her parents called the police control room,” a police officer said.
