South Mumbai: Fire breaks out at KC College training centre

According to an official from Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the fire took place around 1 pm and it was a level two fire.

A minor fire broke out at KC College in Colaba in South Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. There was no casualty, however, bus services were diverted to facilitate firefighting.

According to an official from Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the fire took place around 1 pm and it was a level two fire. "The fire broke out at the 9th floor of Bombay Teacher's Training College, a multistoried building at Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, near Regal Cinema in Colaba," said an official from MFB. He added that no one injured in the fire.

The MFB entrusted five fire engines, four water tankers, including one BA van, and two 108 ambulances.

Meanwhile, BEST traffic control informed that it diverted two routes, 111 and 112 to facilitate the firefighting.

Hemlata Bagla, principal of KC College said, "In the office of Bombay Teachers training college which is half occupied by KC College caught fire in its office. The fire was brought under control and doused completely by the fire brigade. No injuries to anyone was reported."
