If you've been running around trying to make sense of the admission process for Mumbai colleges, a few student-made apps aim to make your life easier.

Students of colleges and institutes like KJ Somaiya, IIT Bombay and NIT have created apps that will help students navigate the admission process, vacant seats, cut-off, rank predictors and application forms.

The app made by students of KJ Somaiya of Engineering 'Dream Admission' provides information about admissions, vacant seats, cut offs and application forms across colleges. A Hindustan Times report quotes one of the developers Mandar Rane saying that real time information on vacancy of seats across colleges is one of the key benefits of the app,

The app developed by NIT students 'NITAdmissions2015' has features like rank predictor, fee details, cutoffs for last year etc. The app has many users since both NITs and Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) have a common counselling round for the first time.

IIT Bombay also has the 'IITBApp' which will help students who secured admission to the institute get all information about the college.

Meanwhile, Mumbai University also has plans to put out their own app soon that will help with admission related information, course details and exam time tables.
