For the last one week, I have been frequently travelling between Nerul west and east.
And every day I notice at least two to three policemen stationed at every corner of the area.
I suppose these police officials’ job is to patrol the area to ensure that there is no untoward incident in the city.
But of late, they have been stopping two-wheelers and four wheelers for no fault of theirs and checking their documents.
Is that the job of the regional transport officials?
They ask even for a PAN card to verify the identity. If the documents are not proper they take money from the motorist, but no receipt is given in return. Is this a new idea or short-cut to make more money?
