Scolded for not studying, youth leaves home

A 20-year-old commerce student went missing after from his Virar residence after his mother, an income tax inspector scolded him for not studying during the exams. The youth left his home informing that he will be attending classes, but did not return home.

Vinayak Nair (20), a third year commerce student, on Sunday, was scolded by his mother, Vidya Nair (46) for not studying. He apologised later and then left the home informing that he would attend the lectures at his classes.

"When we enquired at the classes, we were informed that he did not attend the lectures," said Vidya Nair adding that, her son's phone has been in switched off condition since his departure for attending classes.

Apart from registering the missing complaint with the Arnala Coastal police station, the family posted messages on social media groups which has now went viral. "Even after registering the missing complaint we have got no response, while the post on Facebook and Whatsapp have gone viral, but we are yet to trace him," said Nair.
