Sanjeev Naik files nomination in presence of Congress-NCP leaders

NCP candidate for Thane Lok Sabha and sitting MP Sanjeev Naik, on Friday, filed nomination papers for the seat. MP Naik was accompanied by a host of leaders from NCP and the Congress. NCP leaders Supriya Sule, Thane guardian minister Ganesh Naik, Jitendra Awhad, Vasant Davkhare, Cidco chairman Pramod Hindurao made it a point to be present at the time of filing nominations, and Congress leaders Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, Mushtaq Antulay and Navi Mumbai district Congress chief Dashrath Bhagat were present on the occasion as well.

Speaking on the occasion, Sule said, "People will vote for MP Naik as they are aware of the development works that have been carried out by him in last 5 years. All the leaders of the Congress-NCP alliance are working hard to ensure that MP Naik emerges victorious again."

Vikhe-Patil said, "Thane guardian minister Naik is a leader of the masses and so is MP Sanjeev Naik. We are all working hard to ensure that the alliance candidate wins the polls."

The elections to Thane Lok Sabha seat are to be held on April 24. Along with Naik, Sena candidate Rajan Vichare, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjeev Sane, MNS candidate Abhijit Panse, Rashtrawadi Congress Party's Vinod Gangwal, too, are in fray from Thane seat.
