Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has demanded that the resident commissioner of Maharashtra Sadan at New Delhi be sacked.
Speaking to the media in Nashik about the 'force-feeding' incident, Thackeray said, "The incident is unnecessarily being given a communal colour. The protest was against improper services at the Sadan. We demand that the resident commissioner Bipin Mallick be sacked immediately. He is responsible for the poor quality of food and services at Maharashtra Sadan." The Sena chief added that his party was not communal and respected all religions even if it is a proponent of Hinduism.
He also said that Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare has tendered an apology for the incident.
Uddhav was in Nashik on Thursday to address party leaders in Nashik and the division to decide the action plan for the forthcoming assembly elections.
