Sachin Tendulkar gold coins released

New gold coins with the face of Sachin Tendulkar were unvieled by the master blaster himself in Mumbai on Monday. The limited edition 10gm gold coin is made of the finest 24K gold with 999.9 purity. Each gold coin costs Rs. 34,000.

While the front side of the coin bears Tendulkar's face, the flip side bears his signature.  

The coins were launched on the occassion of Akshaya Tritiya.

"It's not just a gold coin but a good intiative for all the people who like buying gold," said Tendulkar.

"Moreover, it's a good investment and, of course, like all others, even I am very fond of purchasing gold," he added.
 

The coins were launched by Valuemart Gold and Jewels Ltd. primarily to celebrate the achievements of Tendulkar over the last many years.

"Akshaya Tritiya is a very auspicious occasion and that's why we chose this day to pay a tribute to the great Sachin Tendulkar for his amazing contribution to cricket by launching a gold coin with his face embossed on it," the host and MD, C.K. Vasudevan stated.
