Sachin Tendulkar donates Rs 10 lakh for raising cancer awareness

The living legend, as he is referred to, Sachin Tendulkar along with his wife Anjali donated Rs 10 lakh to the Bai Jerbai Wadia hospital for supporting the awareness of cardiac diseases amongst children. The legend launched the Little Hearts Marathon which supports cardiac disease awareness. The marathon which is scheduled for Feb 9th, will start from SIddhivinayak temple and end at the Bai jerbai Wadia hospital.

Sachin Tendulkar said that it was an honour for him to support the noble initiative by Dr.Yeshwant Ambedkar who is the medical director at the hospital.

Sachin commented about the connect between his pediatrician wife Dr Anjali and Dr Ambedkar, "What Achrekar sir is to me, Dr. Ambedkar sir is to her. He has a huge role in guiding her to become a doctor."

He donated Rs 10 lakh for a ventilator to be installed in the hospital. Sachin Tendulkar proved to be truly a living legend with this act.
