Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday announced that the state government would provide uninterrupted power supply for 12 hours during the daytime for farmers in the state.

Interacting with the farmers through his second program titled, 'Mi Mukhyamantri Boltoy...' (I am the chief minister speaking...), Fadnavis said that uninterrupted power supply is key for the agriculture sector.

Fadnavis said that there have been complaints for years that power supply is not only disrupted, but also restored at odd hours and farmers have to run to their fields to start motors early morning whenever power is restored.

Informing that the Union government is providing funding for the solar power generation projects in the state, Fadnavis said that investment in solar power generation would result in the uninterrupted 12-hour power supply.
