Radhika Apte nude clip leak: Cyber cell sleuths quizzing Anurag Kashyap's team

Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap's team members involved in post-production work are being questioned by the cyber cell unit of Mumbai crime branch in connection with the alleged leak of a nude video featuring actress Radhika Apte. Kashyap had a few days ago approached the Mumbai crime branch with a complaint after the nude video, a scene from one of his short films shot as part of an international project, went viral on social media.

Cyber cell sleuths suspect that someone who had access to the print of the film has leaked the video. And most likely that someone has to be from Kashyap's team. "When we see the video, it looks like it has been recorded by using some other camera while the original one was being played on a computer screen. Hence we believe that it has to be someone who has access to the print of the film," said additional commissioner of police (crime) KMM Prasanna, adding, "We have started making inquiries with Kashyap's team to verify whether the video was leaked by anyone of them."

A few days back, the video clip lasting a few seconds was leaked on the social media where it went viral. The clip was part of a scene in Kashyap's short movie that features actress Radhika Apte.

Taking responsibility for the damage done to the actress' reputation, Kashyap had approached the Mumbai police with a complaint following which an investigation was launched by the cyber cell unit. "The film was sent to the US after it was shot and edited here in India. Therefore, we have a reason to believe that a local was involved in the leak," said Prasanna.
