Pune boy dies while dodging water balloon

The colourful festival of Holi lost all its fervour for Raj Satish Kamble's family. The 14-year-old boy lost his life after falling off a bus while playing Holi with his friends on Thursday.

Kamble was an eighth standard student at Moze High School in Pune and a resident of Lakshminarayan area.

Inspector Khanderao Khaire, in-charge of Dighi police station, said, "Raj was returning home from school by a bus on Thursday. He was playing Holi with his friends inside the bus."

"They were playing colours during the journey, and some of them were hurling water balloons at each other. Raj fell off the bus while attempting to dodge one of those balloons. He was standing on the stairs of the bus when he lost his balance and took a headlong fall," Khaire said.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead. Police have registered a case of accidental death.
