The H/West ward includes the western areas of Bandra, Khar and Santacruz, representing a huge population. The suburban queen, Bandra, along with its neighbour Khar see a huge footfall as these two areas are prominent hubs for shopping and nightlife.

However, people in both areas are inconvenienced by potholed roads, broken and missing footpaths as well as open drains. At several locations, existing footpaths have pavement blocks that have crumbled. Add to this, pits and open drains have turned walking into a nightmare.

dna westcoast, in its third week of the Dread Walk campaign, has submitted an appeal to Prashant Sapkale, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, H/West ward says, "I will definitely show these pictures to the concerned officers. These manholes here looks like the lids have been stolen. In 24 hours, the work will be done."
