Preity Zinta molestation case: Cops preparing to question Ness Wadia

The Marine Drive police are in the process of calling industrialist Ness Wadia for questioning in connection with the allegations of molestation and abuse against him by actor Preity Zinta.

The police are also planning to send an email to an Australian national, who has been identified as Jean. The email would be consisting a set of questions. Once the person replies we will try and corroborate the version given by the actor," a senior police officer said.

Zinta's supplementary statement was recorded on Tuesday. During which the actor said that Jean was seated next to her and was the primary witness to the incident. The actor also told the police that Jean intervened when Wadia was allegedly abusing her and asked him to keep quiet.

?Police said that they would soon be getting the footage from the broadcaster's cameras. Once they get these footages they would be going through it to get evidence on the alleged incident.

Police are simultaneously also in the process of recording statements of persons who has been named to be present at Garware Pavilion when the incident occurred. ?"We will also be summoning Wadia to record his statement soon," the officer added.

The incident, as per the complainant, had occurred on May 30. She approached the police on June 13 to lodge a complaint. After which she left for USA and returned on Sunday. The police have so far recorded statements of eight persons out of which six have corroborated the actor's version.

Zinta's statement was recorded on Wednesday at Wankhede stadium. She showed the three spots where the incident had occurred on May 30. She also gave names of 14 witnesses who were present which including the staff and mutual friends of Wadia and Zinta.
