Pre-school has a lucky escape in Kalachowki

The kids studying in a pre-school in the same compound as the shed had a lucky escape on Tuesday. The Eastern Metal Company compound houses a playschool in its premises too. The Morning Star Pre-School and Learning Centre is located just at the entrance of the compound.

However, there was no class on at the time of the fire. “The school, which operates between 9 am to 3 pm, luckily had no kids present when the fire broke out. The school has at least 20 to 25 kids in a class at a time and had the classes been running at the time of the fire, rescuing the kids would have become a risky task," Deepika Gosavi, a resident of a nearby building, which was also evacuated, said.
