Pravin Takalki granted bail

The sessions court on Thursday granted bail to Pravin Takalki alias Mutalik, arrested by the ATS in 2011, for allegedly assembling a bomb which exploded in Malegaon in 2008. The court granted him bail on the grounds that prima facie there was no evidence against the accused.

Speaking to dna, the advocate said, "The NIA had already dropped MCOCA charges against Mutalik."

Takalki, who was arrested in February 2011, has been in judicial custody for over five years.

On September 29, 2008 a bomb- an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) fitted on an LML scooter-exploded in a crowded locality of Malegaon, opposite the Shakil Goods Transport Company, a busy and part of Malegaon.
