The 34-year-old Aditi Khadge, who suffered multiple head injuries on July 14 after meeting with a road accident due to a pothole near Tardeo circle — was discharged on Monday from the hospital a week after the medical treatment. While she was first taken to the civic-run Nair Hospital, she was later shifted to Bhatia Hospital on Wednesday morning.

As per the doctors, she was kept under observation in ICU and was being treated on medicines rather than a neurosurgery. Aditi was admitted on July 18 over Road Traffic Accident (RTA).

Dr Rajeev Boudhankar, CEO, Bhatia Hospital, said, "At the time of admission the patient had several small hematomas, one un-displaced fracture of the left frontal bone and abrasions over her face. She was in a confused state and drowsy. She was treated in the ICU conservatively. Her CT Scan was repeated on July 20, which revealed that she will not require any surgery."

He added, "At the time of discharge, her condition had improved. Her confusion and drowsiness had cleared to a large extent and she started taking oral feeds. As of now, she has been advised to rest at home." The hospital waived off 26 per cent of the total bill of Kadge.

During the time of the accident, Aditi's husband Nilesh Kadge and son were on another bike behind her Activa. While she was first taken to Nair Hospital, the family was given an option of surgery due to which the family shifted her to another hospital.
