BJP president Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday announced that the party would review all cabinet decisions taken by the Cong-NCP democratic front government and cancel those which serve vested interests and benefit only select few builders.

Swabhimani Party leader and Lok Sabha MP Rahi Shetty has demanded review of all decisions by the Congress-NCP alliance government taken in the last 45 days. Shetty submitted a memorandum on the same to governor C Vidyasagar Rao on Wednesday. Fadnavis too called on governor Rao on Wednesday morning but said the meeting was to discuss other issues.

When asked about Shetty's demand, Fadnavis said, "We would review the decisions taken by the government in the last 45 days and all such decisions which have been taken by undermining larger public interest to serve vested interests would be cancelled."

Shetty criticized the government for taking decisions in haste, with eyes on upcoming elections. He said he has requested the governor to review all the government resolutions (GRs) issues in the last 45 days. Fadnavis said that the hasty decisions of the Cong-NCP government reflect corrupt intentions and all such decisions would be brought out into the open by the BJP so that people become aware of it. Fadnavis said that it was a courtesy call to the governor's to discuss health and education sectors related issues.

Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan ridiculed the allegations by BJP president Fadanavis and said, "First of all, the BJP would not get an opportunity to do this since it would not come to power in the state. We have taken all decisions with only one vested interest, and that is, of the people of Maharashtra. This is the reason why Fadanavis would not have this opportunity."
